open clipart?

Postby RockGarb » Sat Dec 09, 2017 1:15 pm

Does anyone know of any addon's or extensions for inkscape that have pre built design's like "property of" or police or fire badges that you can open up and change wording and fonts and stuff like that. I see it in other online programs for cutters and design software stuff but im just wondering if there is anything out there that can be added to inkscape.

Thanks

Try http://openclipart.org/ to search for public domain SVG-based clipart that you can reuse and take apart with Inkscape.

When I've searched for similar things on OCL, I usually can only find line art which has be auto-traced, meaning that it's not made of a single path.

I suppose something like that could be added to Inkscape via extension. We have some guides for creating new extensions, if you already have some coding skills: https://inkscape.org/en/develop/extensions/
