I notice alot of the times when I post I continually receive the following error.

Not sure why it happening but just thought I would let you know.

Thanks capnhud. The table became corrupted (I don't know why). It's been repaired and posting should work as normal now.

On a similar note,

every now and then (has happened quite a few times, around ten times in two weeks) I get this error when I try to load any inkscapeforum.com page:

Must be an issue with my host. They've improved a lot since we were having these problems at the beginning of the forums life - so I stuck with them. It could be related to load on their servers.

Has this been happening for you at a particular time of day? If so, what time (and your timezone)?

If any other users has experianced this problem, please let me know.

Sometimes I too get the Error but its rare. The problem that happens more often is not loading anything in the browser, for example I click to open a thread and it takes a while to load, and when it stops theres nothing there on the page, just blank. I have to reload to get it right, and its still slow. The worst is when I want to post a reply, sometimes it takes a long time to load and then just hangs. When I open the thread in another tab I see my reply hasn't been submitted.

Anyway those all sound like it might be database problem

I've not noticed a particular time, but I'll pay more attention and mention it here if I notice any sort of pattern.

It issue usually only lasts for under a min and then all is normal again.

I'd like to take this opportunity to thank all the admins & people involved in this forum for making such a great community. I'm pretty new here but I really like it.

Please keep me informed with this issue. If it gets worse, gets better, stays the same - anything at all.

I thought these sorts of problems were long gone since my host moved the site onto a different server cluster. Unfortunately I don't experience these issues myself and I don't have access to error logs to see any trends. It sounds like the effects of high server load - it's a shared server not a dedicated server. I'm in Australia so am probably accessing the site at different time of day when the servers aren't under so much load.

Ok, I just got experiance this for the first time with "Lost connection to MySQL server during query [2013]".

I've contact my host with the details and exact time it occured to find out what happened. Hopefully they'll have an answer.

Ok, so my hosts have said they have now "tuned" the database server. They said this may take a little while to replicate, so if you continue to get an error within the next 24 hours, ignore it. But if you get an error after 24 hours, please let me know. Don't forget to record the time it occurred.
