Is it possible/difficult/a good idea/... to include an option "mark as solved" below forum topics?

Hi.

It may be possible to set up a button for that.
Only microUgly could do that, besides everyone can edit their topic's first post's title with a [solved] tag.
Currently there are 6022 topics in the help section, with 515 matches for the keyword "solved", so it would take some time to edit each of those one by one.
Maybe people are not interested in marking their topics as solved?



Edit: it seems that [solved] tags in topic names are disregarded in a simple search.
There is only 90 topics with "solved" in the title from the 6024.

It wasn't a question at first place on a problem, rather discussing opinions.
Which could go on further.

Would YOU like to see older topics with solved tag added?

I find it helpful, when searching in older posts, when something is marked as solved. At least you know someone reached a solution. Especially when in a hurry, it helps. But it's not indispensable either.

BTW, providing the possibility to mark as solved starting from now, doesn't necessarily imply editing all older posts. Can be left as they are...
