I think also it would be very cool to have a new poll section in this forum...
This would be divided into 2 sections:

Things i love about inkscape...
And things i hate about inkscape...

any member could log in and create a poll post in either of these areas and describe one thing they either like or dislike about inkscape....
then members would log in and would be required to vote with a thumbs up (agreement) or thumbs down (disagreement) to this statement and then they could include their comments....
Each member could only respond once in this poll section (for each poll) to record their agreement or disagreement with the statement and provide any thoughts....

on the cover page of each poll post there would be a display showing how many votes and a bar or pie graph showing a %age of how the votes were falling...
Also i think a drop down (or link) on each side which would show which members voted for either the pro or con....
This would be cool as people could then learn more about individual members and what they like or dislike about inkscape.

Each poll would have a tab that would say poll discussion... or something that would create a new thread to discuss any poll.....

However NOBODY would be allowed to post in the poll discussion forum who had not casted their vote in the poll itself...
...also i think this poll section should be limited to pros and cons of inkscape and not any old crap people want to waffle on about via a poll...as there is already plenty of scope for jabber on these forums and i would like to see this as a formalized avenue for structured debate about people's specific likes and dislikes with respect to matters directly relating to inkscape.

This would be very cool....
it would create allot of buzz and get every body debating aspects of inkscape and allot of people would start to learn how and what people like and dislike various parts of inkscape and would become a valuable resource for developers....

Another fair idea The main problem is that I would need to write a modification for phpBB3 and these days I struggle to find the time to use Inkscape let alone write code for this Inkscape forum. I think I need to remove the "suggestion" bit from the forum name
