I'm making some physics diagrams using Inkscape. The thing to note while making especially physics diagrams is that to make the same size of the symbols or mathematical equations in all diagrams regardless of the size of the images. It means that the images will have different sizes but the mathematical symbols or equations will have the same size in every images. I render mathematical symbols or equations from latex extension.

Hello
I understand that you are rendering LaTex symbols using the extensions that comes with Inkscape. But sometimes those symbols appear bigger or little and you don't know why this happens.
- I'm not sure right now, but I think that the Latex extensions on Inkscape always render the symbols of the same size. I think you are refering to this:

- If you know more about Latex (or Tex), you can modify the size of the symbols at the moment of the codification

- Libre office have support for making formulas and later exporting as a SVG. After that you can add your diagrams on Inkscape. However, I've tried that path some months ago, and I recomend to be patient, because you have to try and correct some issues. I remember that there is also posible to export to PDF in LibreOffice, and later import again to Inkscape

- The new incoming Inkscape 0.91 have an option to use Symbols. But It also has its limitations

- I don't know if even it will be some web service for rendering latex code.

The symbols that the latex extension renders are always of the same size but when I used that extension initially that rendered very small symbols almost invisible. I need to hit Ctrl+A to select all and know where the symbol or equation is and resize it by draging the resize handles. But nowadays the same extension is rendering big (about 40% greater in size than I need) symbols. I can reduce the effect of big symbols by making my default zoom level to be about 60% and make my diagrams in the same zoom level but that does not work because when you export the bitmap you'll get the same size image. You need to resize the diagram by dragging the resize handles which does not solve the problem (leads to small and big symbols in various diagrams). But there is one working solution for this case which is making the symbols in 100% zoom level and I need only 60% zoomed images which I can decrease the dpi by 40% (initially the dpi is 90) while exporting. Does Inscape has separate documentation for this issue specially for making physics diagrams ? If you know some good physics diagram making softwares suggest some of them. Suggest only those softwares that are specially designed for physics diagrams or the softwares that are used to make the colourful diagrams in advanced physics books which seem to be very realistic.

TeXteXt extension is best for this problem. Solution is changing the scale factor.
