If you want to offer free files for anyone to use, you should just provide the files, and not require people to email you. That's my opinion.

Personally I quite enjoy wingdings, and have a really lot of wingding fonts. But I'm not sending you my email address, to ge a file full of something I haven't even seen yet. Who knows what you, a stranger to me, might send me. Could be malware, for all I know.

Actually, this is a borderline spammish message.

If you really do have symbol files, you can attach them to your message, or you could upload somewhere else, where people can safely download.

If you use the Full Editor, and not the Quick Reply, you can find the place to attach files below the Submit button. If it tells you it won't accept the file format, you can put it in a zip file, and it will attach.

Although....well no, it might not work on this board. Attachments are only allowed on the Help Using Inkscape board, and maybe a couple of others. I can never remember which. You can try here, but if it doesn't work, maybe you could use a file sharing site, like Dropbox.

I can't wait to see them! :D

You will be able to add a wingdings to your project very easily..
Simply select a wingding and drag it on your canvas

click on Object > Symbols ( Shit + Ctrl + Y )

after a short delay, a window will open up left of your canvas
then expand Symbol Set to select a Symbol group

Wingdings Arrow

to be able to view your Wingdings you will have to copy & paste
the attached files in the following directory

Just keep in mind that the Wingdings fonts are copyrighted, trademarked and have a proprietary license as well as possibly embedding restrictions. The license of the fonts 'Wingdings.ttf' and 'Webdings.ttf' as distributed with Mac OS X 10.7.5 for example says this:
You may use this font as permitted by the EULA for the product in which this font is included to display and print content. You may only (i) embed this font in content as permitted by the embedding restrictions included in this font; and (ii) temporarily download this font to a printer or other output device to help print content.

Oh, I didn't realize what you were offering. You have taken existing fonts and made them into symbols. Sometimes people use the word wingding to mean any graphic, or non-text font. So I thought you meant you had made brand new wingdings.

But it looks like you did make them black and white, instead of black and transparent.

brynn,

Now you have a set of wingdings which are easy to
manipulate, use any color of your liking, easier to change
size of symbol, all 4 files are in SVG

Enjoy
