I downloaded image (Link: http://www.freepik.com/free-vector/fact ... position=1) from freepik.com

I opened its .ai file in Inkscape and removed the banner named 'Infographic Factory' and while trying to save it again as .png, i'm getting image background with boxes (not smooth as it is visible in the link above). I''m not getting what to google for this query. Please reply with solution as early as possible.

Seems a gradient mesh is being tiled.

I'm too lazy to deal with a million objects like that.

With such a paper-cut style, I'd just go nuts with the bucket tool and put a gradient background behind all the bucket-made objects.

Is that a gradient mesh being tiled? What's with all the diagonal lines? It almost looks like a plaid fabric pattern.

Maybe you deleted something else, besides just the banner, and this was underneath?

Yeah when I zoom in on the original, I can see that plaid pattern vaguely underneath. I guess it's possible that Inkscape can't handle that gradient, but it's not clear to me that there are millions of objects.

I would probably draw a new rectangle and give it a new gradient (mesh or not). Make it slightly transparent. And you'd also have to deal with the lake near the bottom. It's showing a grid too, but without diagnoal lines.

Or else try to find the image in SVG format already.
