Hi, I wondered whether more users would like a "Technical Talk" subforum? It would be a place to discuss the technical background of the tools in Inkscape. Like the short discussion on Bézier curves in this topic for example, or a topic about ligatures/kerning of texts, how L-systems work, some comments on the different snapping functionalities (for instance, I'm quite curious to how the "snap to center/midpoint of objects" works), etc.

Of course, there is a lot of (technical) info already available on the web, but it's not always accessible for everyone. Moreover, I can imagine that someone wouldn't know which terms to use in a search query.

Also, there might be some overlap with the wiki, or the programming subforum... In that case, a reference would suit.

Any thoughts?
