Hi.
If I upload multiple pictures to a post, then the last atachment comes first. Therefore I have to delete all but latest (top on queue) and upload the rest in reverse order.
Of course, not every post does have a nature that makes it important to get uploded files in correct order, but there should be some buttons next to atachment field that makes it possible to move attachment up or down in queue.
I drawed a couple of buttons to show how I imagined it to be, but uploading is not allowed in this subforum
Order of atachments
Re: Order of atachments
Hi Grobe,
I think there is a way to alter the order in which the attachments appear. Although I haven't tested this specifically, I have used it otherwise.
After you upload the file, there are 2 buttons. I can't remember what one of them is (it might be "Delete the file" now that I think about it) but the other is something like "Place Inline". So wherever the cursor is placed in the text field is where the attachment is placed within the message, when you click that button. I have found that after I use that button, I can use cut/paste or copy/paste to move it around within the message. I don't know that I've specifically tried to reverse the order of the appearance of the attachments, but I suspect that it can be done.
Possibly you might have to put some kind of text in between the files, even just a dot/period (.) to make it work, but I'm really speculating at this point.
If you want to make some kind of "test message" in the Help forum (where attachments are allowed) I will be glad to delete it after you've learned whether it can be done

Re: Order of atachments
Hi Brynn. I may find some time to test this.
I wrote this mostly because I don't want images to appear twice, so I don't use "Place inline" if it's not strictly neccesary in order to to make myself understood.

Re: Order of atachments
I'm not sure what you mean about images appearing twice? I'm not sure if that happens? I'll try to remember the next time I make some attachments, to test this

Re: Order of atachments
Attachment order isn't something that is something I can influence--this forum is written by others. Although I'm confident that the developers would not have intended attachments to be ordered, anymore than you can order attachments in an email.
I would just use the inline method.
