barplots to trapezium

Hello all,

I've used Inkscape for fairly basic processing of scientific figures. Now I have about 20 .svgs of 7 stacked barplots each. I want them to be arranged in a circular (donut kind of) way, so I would need to convert them to trapeziums.
I can make a trapezium from a drawn rectangle, so I thought of merging the barplots with a rectangle and then transform it similarly.

Whatever I try, eventually, only the corner of one of the parts of the stack is moved, instead of it being the corner of the composed object/figure.
How can I combine all the separate parts into 1 object and then make a trapezium of it? (so I don't want to cut it, but compress 1 side of the 'rectangle')

pretty simple to do, in fact there are too many ways to do it without knowing if you want them to be curved at all, if they are all identical or is each one different, which side do you want to be shortest,
We have the pattern on path, the bend, the perspective, and envelope extensions, scatter, etc

Hi,

just very basic. I want the left side of the left barplot to be shorter, increasing to the right with the right side of the utter right barplot to be unaltered. No curves.
Now I'm only able to change the individual colored blocks within a barplot instead of the total figure. :oops:

either of these methods
the extension requires the yellow path to be drawn - doesn't have to be right on your group, so it's very convenient to draw in the place you want and the deformed object will move to that location.
the path effect let's you interactively resize but if you want a precise fit you will have to draw guides to snap to

There's a mirroring option - I'd use this for making things symmetrical.

The extension requires that you draw the envelope with the first node where you want top left of your target to appear. If you close the path it's difficult to see where the first node is, so for that reason I leave the path open as in the examples. notice how the arrow points to the first node (labeled '1') of the envelope path every time because in the original it pointed to the top left. Note also that the envelope path must be the second item selected, and the object must be grouped.
