Fonts visible but not selectable. Inkscape 0.46

Postby ectar » Mon Feb 16, 2009 6:53 am

I have weird bug (if it is bug) going on.

I see list of all my installed fonts, but font samples are grayed.
I can't select nor apply font to selected text.
One font is always there - Sans, and there is no way to change it.

OS Win XP Sp3, fresh install.
PC: AMD X2, Nforce 4, 2Gb Ram.

This is a known issue. You can only change the font with the Text and Font dialog. The shortcut is Shift+Ctrl+T

Sometimes will work, but only for a few times then it seems to not work and double drop down the font list.
Reopening the file seems to fix it for a few times again. I don't remember having this issue before SP3.

Hope it fixes soon, Ctrl+Shift+T only seems to be a work around for the moment.

Can we sticky one of the three million threads about this so we stop answering the same question repeatedly? Please use the search function before starting new threads.

I created an FAQ item for it some time ago now - viewtopic.php?f=22&t=2037#goto-changefont (I didn't want a sticky for every frequently asked question)

It may not reduce the number of posts about it, but at least it's easier now to simply link to the answer.
