Illustrating pile of coins ...

Postby rockraikar » Thu Sep 13, 2007 11:10 pm

Its only three months that I started with Inkscape. This is one of my first tutorials on how to illustrate pile of coins. I'm still in learning phase so if you find something silly in this tutorial then please let me know.

This is the resulting image.

Hi rockraikar. Thanks for writing this tutorial.

Just a couple of comments, I would place the image to illustrate each step after the step is described rather than before, and in the first step you say to fill the circle with a linear gradient, but it looks like you only filled it with solid colour.

thanks for the reply & particularly the suggestions :)
& by the way the circle does have a linear gradient(refer to the svg along with tutorial) but yes...the colors of gradient aren't that distinctive....
