Postby cekuhnen » Mon Feb 18, 2008 9:44 am

Hi

we got a new laser cutter at work, Kendall College and we need to use Corel Draw to feed the printer.
Illstrator for some reason doenst work.

The laser cutter needs HPGL (Hewlett-Packard Graphic Language) as a tool path.

there is a distiller for *nix but I am on os x and windows.

does anybody know how to program this for the printer?

Hi cekuhnen,

The following might be a good starting point,
(Although I have not yet tried it)

Please post back any experiences you have with it.

I wrote an extention for an roland hpgl engraver/vinyl cutter that will work fine for your unit with a couple tweeks. You can print directly from coreldraw (wine) or inkscape also.
Instructions here...

hope it's some help to you
