Very nice! I'm sure I'll be linking to it often :D

(I tried to post a comment on that page for you, but it doesn't seem to work. Maybe nothing is supposed to happen? If that's the case, I apologize for sending 3 or 4 times.)

Edit
(I tried disabling my Firefox plugin that blocks the referrer header, but didn't help.)

@brynn: It is supposed to open your email program when you click on 'Post via Email', I don't use a database or any on-server programs. There are just the bare html pages and nothing else. So I get the comments by email, and put them into the system locally, then create the html pages, and upload those to the server. This way, I don't have to worry about people trying to hack my database, and I don't depend upon any outside services.
If you stumble about any errors (grammar, or weird expressions that could be very difficult to understand), I'd like to hear about those, please :)
I'll also take any comments by email and put them in ;)

@Espermaschine: You mean speak English or German? Not sure :) (I fail to see a problem with your English... is your blog's 'About me' description misleading?... Sorry - probably not the place to ask this - but your pms are disabled...)

It didn't open my email. OH! But I'll try again. I wasn't able to open it either, earlier today. Maybe the problem was on my end.

Ah yes, there it goes :D

Yes, im german. :D
Your german, the way you form sentences and express things, its very good.
If i had to write a blog entry in german, that wouldnt be so refined.

So your german is very good - mine not so much.

@Espermaschine: My German teacher always complained about the length of the sentences... I still see his red word counts in my mind when a whole paragraph consists of only a single sentence ;)

But yes, I like language(s) in general, thanks :) (and with English, you'll most certainly reach a wider audience, Esper - so no problem there ;) )

@Brynn: It's online now :) Thanks!

Maestral, your English is excellent and the words you use have a nice, kind flow - if you see something that could be phrased in a way so that it is easier to understand, please speak up :)
If you've got any other ideas about how you can help, that would be cool, too (I've got little to no clue as to what might be your 'special area of interest' - oh, browsing the old threads I see lots of quality images... do you do info graphics, too? We could use one for inkscape.org which explains the difference vector <-> raster in a nice, user-centric way).

(I hurried a bit when translating, and re-reading it, even I sometimes got lost in my own subclauses... which are easier to use in German, as it's usually a lot clearer what they are referring to, due to our more differentiated grammar).

(btw. you're all making me blush... and cause a desire to start translating part II as soon as possible ;))

You`re not the only one blushing  Many thanks for your kind words.

I haven`t done that much of infographics but I`ll do it with pleasure. I do 2D animation as well, so some explainer video may also be counted as available for inkscape.org. In both cases, please do make a script or prepare some sort of a rough draft for these and I`ll see what can I do. We may also open some other com.channels, just in order to make it all work and to spare the crowd from spoiling the surprise ,)

@Maestral: I've sent you a PM, Brynn is included in CC, as she's very much involved with this, too.
