Saving Issues **Update : Strange Resolution**

Postby the_small_girl » Mon Nov 02, 2009 1:49 pm

I have been having issues with Inkscape recently. Whenever I save something in Inkscape in svg and then try to open it again something happens to the file and the image is erased. I have opened images in inkscape and saved them and closed the program and then opened the image again and had them be fine. Its when I open the image a second time and save it that it goes blank.

**Update**

I have also noticed that whenever I click on these saved files when I am trying to import them ( images I saved in svg but are strangely labeled jpg) Inkscape notifies me that it has encountered a runtime error and that it has to close. You can see from the picture below:

So it turns out that the above happens when I try to open things in Inkscape in their folder. If I import the jpg images into Inkscape and trace them and what not I don't have a problem with saving them as svg images and using them later. So, even though I have resolved this issue I still think the problem I have encountered should be looked into.
