Problem Saving as PDF

Postby asher.radunsky » Mon Feb 09, 2015 5:03 am

Hi, somewhat inexperienced on inkscape. I'm having trouble saving as a PDF without data loss. I think most if not all the problem is with the text. I tried to upload the files here but the file size was too big. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong? Thanks in advance. :)

Hi.

Probably you made flowed texts.

I appreciate the fast response but I don't think that was the problem. It said something like "apply to flowed text to convert". Then when I resaved it it wasn't any better. Could it perhaps be about the manner of actually saving it as a PDF in terms of rasterization and all that?

Thanks.

If there was some filter involved, then yes. Filters are rendered into raster images, like blurring/blurred drop shadows.
You can set a higher resolution 300 or 600 dpi for a finer result.

ok yes that helped. I increased the rasterization level (??) from 300 to 600 and it came out clean. Thanks a bunch.
