Smoothing lines??

Smoothing lines??

I am EXTREMELY new to graphic design. I have been watching tutorials and created my first drawing. It left a lot to be desired but you have to start somewhere right? I have been experimenting with the pen and pencil tool, tracing ect. I cant seem to figure out how to smooth the lines.

Here is my first drawing, many of the points need to be smoother. It looks sloppy and I dont know how to clean it up. PLEASE try to keep it to simple terms while I am still learning. Any other tutorials or help would be WONDERFUL. Thanks !
