Inkscape & Scribus -> Support Chinese?

Postby hhtmp88 » Sat Apr 25, 2009 1:44 am

Dear all,

Inkscape & Scribus look good, but can they support Traditional Chinese in UTF-8?

Thanks a lot!

I believe Inkscape does. I don't see why Scribus wouldn't.

I have been using Inkscape to make a set of shogi pieces, and for getting the kanji characters it's been as easy as selecting the SimSun font and pasting the text that I copied from a text file. So if you're copying and pasting, I'd think the same thing should work for chinese too if you have the chinese font.

Thanks AgentPnakotus!

After select to use Simsun Font, Chinese Characters can be displayed properly!
