I clicked on help with inkscape , clicked post: Blocking images in a drawing and clicked on the mediafire.com address there and I was not amused to find the chicks rear toward me and my virus alarms going off.

I've checked it and it's all clean. It might be that your PC was already infected with Spyware that is hijacking the URL and sending you to a different site.
