Hello all,

I'm having problems regarding the conversion from .ai file to .svg file.
The problem is an alteration of the image.
If I open files created with Adobe does not appear to be no problem, but if the file is opened by Inkscape the image is altered.
I wanted to ask you, certainly more experienced than me , if is there a way to solve this problem.

Do you have a screenshot/jpg of what the image should look like? I don't have illustrator so can't view the original

I can't be sure but it looks like the there just seems to be a few differences in how Illustrator and Inkscape handle transparent gradients. If you click on the object, click the gradient tool (g) and then click on the node with the black fill you can bring the opacity back down, then it'll look similar to the original

Just some news , made as u suggested and worked fine.
Is this trouble "avoidable" in some way? coz i have to convert 1200 icons and is gonna be long work

I don't think there's anything you could do from the gui. Maybe something in the command line?

I haven't done it before, but this program can convert between lots of different formats http://sk1project.org/modules.php?name=Products&product=uniconvertor

If all else fails report it as a bug

Made what u said but uniconv return this error : unrecognised file type.

I think you passed the capabilities of Uniconvertor.
Uniconvertor imports Adobe Illustrator up to 9 ver. (AI postscript based) as it's said on page.
You'd convert your ai file to at least version 9 so that Uniconvertor can handle and convert to svg.

So i should convert it to adobe illustrator 9 first then try the .svg covertsion.
