I would love to see this in an update.

And the possibility to open 2 or more documents in the same inkscape window. (and toggle between them like in the the internet browser)

There's a recent discussion about AI's shape builder tool, somewhere in this forum. As far as I understand, Inkscape does not strive to be a free AI replacement program. As an open source project, Inkscape is developed in a different way from how proprietary products are developed. Being open source means that you or anyone can be involved in development. You can register for an account on Launchpad (https://launchpad.net/inkscape) and make a feature request.

Inkscape does not have tabs like a browser. But you can have more than one Inkscape window open at the same time, and switch between them from the taskbar. Or you could make 2 windows half-width and have them side by side on the screen.

Yeah, I know all that Since the forum headline was "ideas" I felt free to come up With some suggestions that I think makethis (amazing, thank you) software even better. Im not a Developer, so ideas and feedback is the way I can take part in the process.

My English is Limited, so i couldnt find a better better way to describe the tool than refering to AI.

I know about the post, but wanted one in the idea-section aswell, since it is such a effective tool.

Developers will most probably not see it here. This forum is almost exclusively visited by Inkscape users...
