ok , so i figured out to put text on a path and to rotate it to where i need it. i also figured out how to get the text on the inside of the circle instead of the outside (on the bottom. now i have letters too close together on the bottom. i know i need to do something with kerning. and i found a place that mentions kerning, but i have no idea what to do. it looks as if there are no selectable options, so i must be doing something wrong.
can you help?
thanks!

Re: help me with curved text
Using the text tool, put the cursor between two letters. Then hold down the Alt key and use the left and right arrow keys to adjust the spacing. (If you're on a Mac, this may not work. In this case you can use the horizontal kerning setting on the toolbar - icon looks like A|A.)
The above is for kerning, but you may be better to start with tracking (essentially the same thing, but applied to the whole line, rather than just one pair of characters). This is done the same way, but using < and > instead of the arrow keys. (And again, there's a setting on the toolbar if you can't use the keyboard.)
