Import Text From A Spreadsheet?

Hi All, this is my first post here.

I would like to import text into my Inkscape project from a spreadsheet. Is this possible?

There used to be an extension called "Text from CSV" or something like that which seems like it would have worked but that extension is nowhere to be found these days (I think).

I've been reading about an extension called Generator. Would this do the trick?

Any other suggestions?

Try it - I made a couple examples. It only works on Linux, though. The version for 1.0 should work on Windows, too, but only with 1.0(beta).
