Some feedback from a non geek user

Hi!

I just want to tell you guys that my girlfriend, who is an average windows user, LOVES inkscape. I installed it on her windows machine after showing it to her on my linux laptop. I don't really know what she is doing with it right now, but small squeaks of joy are coming from her end of the table :)

I don't know what people find good at inkscape, but i find it's the biggest crap i have ever seen.
it take me now 30 min and I still can not select a special section out of an image...
what a f...ing program!

The developpers are unable to write a useful helpfile/tutorial!

Doesn't surprise me since you can't even properly describe what exactly goes wrong.

What's "special section"?
What's "image"? A bitmap?
How did you try to select?

I have no high hopes to teach you proper behaviour, but at least you could make a better job at explaning where you failed.

Have you tried under Help > Tutorials in Inkscape window? Those files are very helpful to a beginner.

A poor craftman always blames his tools. It sounds like you're trying to use a hammer to cut a peice of wood. Would you walk into a room full of carpenters and state proudly that hammers are crap because you can't cut wood with them? :shock:
