I recive the error shown in the attachment when trying to import an eps file. I have Ghost script installed and have set the environment variables. I am using Windows 10. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Welcome to the forum!
Which version of Inkscape?
After you got that error, the EPS file did not open. Correct?
I don't know exactly what all of that means. I haven't installed GS or used EPS files myself, and I'm not very technically aware. I have several questions about the message, but I doubt if any of them will help you.
However, the "no such file or directory" part is curious, and that's probably where I would start. I'd want to know why that SVG file is part of the process of opening an EPS file.
The only thing I could suggest is to double-check you've installed the correct GS file and version, and review the instructions. Even a simple space in the environmental path can gum up the works! https://inkscape.org/en/learn/faq/?edit_off#how-open-eps-files-windows
Hopefully someone else will be along soon, who knows more about it.

Hi. Thanks for your reply. I am using the latest versions of ghost script and inkscape.
The eps file did not open.

I am having a similar issue.
My error message is:
Failed to load the requested file [file name].eps
I am using the latest version of both Inkscape and Ghost Script

Welcome to the forum!
Sorry to hear about the problems. Will you please read this, and make sure you have followed the instructions to the last detail? Make sure you got the right version of GS for your system, installed in the correct place, and that you set the environmental variable path correctly.

Thanks, I did have my variable paths set correctly.
I think the problem was that I didn't have python installed also.
I uninstalled Inkscape and reinstalled everything and it fixed the problem.
