Is it possible to import multiple images/files onto Inkscape's canvas at once?

I have searched through tutorials and help files and cannot find the answer to this question.

Thank you.

You can drag an drop multiple selections from your file explorer onto Inkscape.  All will import but they will stack onto of one another.

Welcome to the forum!

However, note that having several raster images embedded in the document is one of the fastest routes to performance issues in Inkscape.  You can avoid that by linking them instead of embedding.  But then, you have to be sure not to move them from wherever you imported them from, and not take the SVG file to another computer.

In the file import dialog, just mark those you want with Ctrl+click. Raster images are actually pretty fast to render.
