I haven't been able to log in to inkscapeforum.com for nearly a week and I see no sign of anyone fixing it, so I guess we'll all have to come here instead.

Welcome to Inkscape Community!

Well, we are not competing forums.  I like to think of us as side by side, providing support for Inkscape.  But to be honest, my fears of something like this happening (at IF) is part of the reason I created this site.  I've known for a long time that the admin of IF doesn't pay much attention to his forum.

However, IF is not completely dead.  I've still been able to post there, the whole time.  Lazur can post, but not every time he tries.  And the last couple of days, we have had a few new messages.

But you're not alone.  I've been contacted by someone else who can't log in.  Let me ask you, can you see the message I posted there:  http://www.inkscapeforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=19&t=19472.  Hopefully people who can't register or log in, can at least see that message, and come here, if they need help.

Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do, except welcome people here, if they need support, and can't log in there.  So please feel free to post here, if you need help.  :D

Yes, I managed to read that message which is what brought me here. I haven't been able to log in to that forum for over a week. Let's hope that more users come here to increase the traffic.

Out of curiosity, I wonder if it's possible to search IF, without being logged in?  I would log myself out to test it, but I'm afraid I wouldn't be able to log back in  :uhoh:

You can use google for that, as they cache the site 24/7, it should work.
For example search lpe related posts by:

"live path effect" site:inkscapeforum.com
.

I thought there was a way to do that, for a long time, but didn't know how.  Is there a way to do, but use other search engine?  Like DuckDuckGo?
