Title: svg link mailto
Post by: jobefox on March 25, 2018, 04:29:12 AM
Sorry for my English. I am a Dutch member and new on this forum [ You are not allowed to view attachments ]
I made an svg image in inkscape with a mailto: link.
So I hoped to bypass spambods.
When I click on this image in my website, my e-mail program opens correctly with all fields filled in.
The problem is that automatically some of my e-mails are sent as an attachment.
If I change the address of the addressee, this problem does not arise.
Does anyone have a solution for this?

Welcome to the forum!

I probably can't answer your question.  So don't take anything I say as an informed answer, haha.  But don't worry, other members can.  Meanwhile, I'm curious how you make the link to begin with.  When I open Edit from the context menu (right-click), I don't have the same options which are showing in your screenshot.  But it probably won't show up unless I create a link.

Do you use Object Properties > Interactivity > onclick ?

I don't know if this has anything to do with the problem.  But I do notice that you have a group of 2 - text and a rectangle.  One of them has just a simple link, to a website.  And the other has the email link.

But when someone clicks on it, it seems like they would be clicking on the group, which has no link associated with it.  The links are inside the group.

Well, I'll be interested to learn something new  :D

I think you're doing it correctly, but your email program is doing strange things.
