Seems it removes the html marks.

blah -- I apologize for the trouble.

Hhmm.... Where did you see that error message? I don't see it here.
It says "your browser". But I think you probably wouldn't be posting unless you thought the problem was with the forum.
We accept videos from around 100 sites. I don't think framadrive is specifically a video host, is it? I embed mp4 videos, which I've uploaded to the server, but they have the .mp4 extension on them. If you could find the exact file name, which has the MP4 extension, I would guess it would be embedded.
By "html marks" do you mean the <video> tags?
Meanwhile, I'll find out if there's an upgrade for the mod. Maybe framadrive has been added.
-
Ooohh, I see. It's not an error message. That's the code you tried to use :b1:
HTML is not allowed in forum messages. Think what trouble that could cause!
But I think if you could find a way to get a url with the mp4 extn, it would work.
Edit -- But I'll still look for an upgrade. Maybe framadrive has been added?
-
No luck on upgrades - we're all current. But I found at least the file name.
curved_stacked_boxes.mp4
I guessed at a couple of URLs, but no luck. Can you find the URL?
-
I don't think it's possible to get the URL with mp4 extn. I think we'd have to get framadrive added to the mod.
Afaict, the mod devs will add more sites, but it looks like they are asking $15. Although the way the info is worded, that could be a misunderstanding. If anyone has the right skills (I guess PHP) they might welcome others to upgrade it -- I have not investigated that far yet.
At this point, our choices are -- investigate having framadrive added to the mod; or -- use a different video host. Vimeo is one of the choices. I guess I could make a screenshot of the list, if you'd like to see the possibilities?
-
Wow, those are lots of options. I'll stick with posting bare links, though, then I still have full control over the files I uploaded. Thank you for investigating, Brynn!

My pleasure :)
