As announced previously (https://forum.inkscapecommunity.com/index.php?topic=1265.0), the Inkscape development team had their latest hackfest in Kiel, Germany.
What happened?
Besides the developer team having a meetup and building personal relationships?
Some serious work being done.
Just a few of the technical achievements amongst bug fixes and performance boosting:
• Centerline tracing - first steps for inclusion in Inkscape. There is no graphical user interface for it yet, but one step at a time.
• External SVG linking with real-time changeable resolution.
• A fix for Inkscape's coordinate issues. Coordinate system will flip back to the svg specs's.
