Title: Symmetry while making a path
Post by: orient96 on November 06, 2018, 06:32:02 AM
Is it possible to turn on symmetry  while making a path so that a center of a path is axis of symmmetry ?

There is a 'mirror' path effect, you may want to try that out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1sj4AeU3Yo

No, Inkscape doesn't have a feature like that.  The LPE which Moini mentioned might help.

Or this tutorial gives one way to create symmetry, using cloned paths (written for beginners):  https://forum.inkscapecommunity.com/index.php?action=articles;sa=view;article=27

Exactly what kind of symmetry do you want to create?

Edit menu > Clones > Tiled Clones can arranged cloned objects in various types of symmetry.  But it's not about drawing paths symmetrically.
