Title: Edit Paths by Nodes
Post by: xPaxion on December 21, 2018, 03:38:05 PM
I've got this strange problem where I tried creating two bezier lines and then attaching them together afterwards

But when I try to fill it it doesn't come out right.

It seems like I HAVE to connect all lines together and complete the circuit or it always comes out wrong which is disappointing.

Is this the case?

How did you fill it?  Did you use the Paint Bucket tool?

Most of the time it's better to connect the nodes.  That way you can use the traditional fill.  The Paint Bucket tool takes a lot more time to tweak and fidget with, than connecting the nodes.

It is possible to get a nice fill with Paint Bucket, but as I said, it takes a lot more time fussing with the Node tool, to get it right.  For me, it's much faster to just connect the nodes.

But it depends on the kind of work you're doing.  There are times when Paint Bucket tool works fairly well.

Filling in as in select the bezier lines and clicking a colour.

Oh, I see now.  It's hard to tell without the SVG file.

So yes, you need to connect the nodes, and sometimes you need to connect all the nodes, before you can get a good fill.  I guess that's just how vector graphics works.
