Hello, I tried searching for a solution for this, so I come to the forum.

I've installed a font package to my computer that should have about 10 font variations, i.e. script, bold, shadowed, etc..but only the base font is coming up in Inkscape. See screenshot.

Also, whenever I open up the dropdown to select a font, it is very laggy, and it takes me a long time to find what I want. All variations of this font show up in Microsoft paint and there is no lag selecting fonts.

How can I get all my fonts to show up?

I'm running Windows 10 Home 64 bit with Inkscape 0.92.2. Thank you!

Welcome to the forum!

When you look in C:/Windows/Fonts, do you see all the individual fonts?  If so, they are probably in the main fonts dropdown menu.  If you just installed one font, you may need to install all 10.

For the lagging, how many fonts do you have?  I've never heard of Inkscape having a limit to how many fonts.  Actually I've never heard of having a lot of fonts making the menu slow.  But it's the only thing I can think of at the moment.

Do you see the lagging in a new blank file?  Or are you seeing this in a file which is already large (let's say 10 or 20 mb, or more)?

Edit
If the font is free, could you share the download link?  Or webpage with the link?

Hi Brynn, yes I see all the individual fonts in windows/fonts. They are not located in the main fonts dropdown menu either. I did install all 10.
It's probably worth noting again that they all show up lag free in MS paint.

Windows/fonts shows I have 176 fonts, I can't imagine that's enough to cause lag. I see lagging in both a new blank file and an existing file.

The font is not free.

Thanks for your response!

If the other font weights don't show up as separate fonts in the main list, and you have them installed, and are not using a font manager software on Windows, then this could be your bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/inkscape/+bug/1555109

Yes, I would agree with Moini.  And if it does seem to fit the bug description in that report, you might make a comment, and mention the lagging menu.  I only skimmed over it, but I don't think it was mentioned.

I don't remember ever hearing about the font menu being sluggish.  So I'm coming up blank with anything for that.

The only workaround I can think of, would be to try reverting to 0.91, or even back to 0.48.5, if necessary.  As long as you don't need any tool or feature which is new with 0.92.2, it should at least get you back to work.
