Title: missing black background
Post by: brynn on January 25, 2014, 06:43:45 PM
missing black bg on attached SVG

The black bg is also missing in Windows Explorer display.  However, I thought that was related to my Renesis plugin.  Or maybe Windows, I can't remember whicih, at the moment.

The black background also doesn't show in Nautilus' (Ubuntu's file browser) thumbnail preview, and neither does it show in Firefox.  Even on my desktop's wallpaper, the thumbnail shows a transparent background.

I think the background setting in Document Properties is meant to be used in cases where you want to have a rough idea how the illustration might look like if it were printed on color paper.  Exporting the drawing as a bitmapped image however, will honor the background (the tooltip said so  ).

Yes, eventually, I figured that out   :b1:

Also note (in case this forum ever gets very active, lol) the big green check mark for the message icon.  Hopefully will save us some time.....again, if we ever get very active
