Title: ability to save file to DXF format
Post by: Wildcat98 on October 10, 2017, 08:02:37 AM
Last year in October of 2016, a previous version of Inkscape had the ability thru the FILE\SAVE AS menu to select the DXF format. Has this feature been deprecated/removed from Inkscape? My workstation was upgraded in February 2017 and I now am using Inkscape version 0.92.1 r15371, and the DXF format is no where to be found under the FILE\SAVE AS menu.

Thanks,
Matt

It should be there, even twice (for R12 and R14 of the dxf file format). The current Inkscape version is 0.92.2. You may need to reinstall Inkscape (first uninstall completely!). Also install the python part, if you choose custom install.
If then it's still not there, please post the contents of your extensions.log file.

Welcome to the forum!

I see DXF only once in the Save As dialog (R14).  Inkscape 0.92.2, Windows 7

It's almost exactly right in the middle of the dropdown menu.

It happens that I still have 0.92.1, and it's just the same there.  Only once in the menu, right in the middle.
