Re: Diffuse Lighting - Surface scale

1. I was reffering to the "Diffue Lighting" primitive (I should be more precise :) ) 2. I also thought to be a decimal point error, but it appears in several places with several values (20, 30 etc). it is also in the "Red Wax" tutorial that follows 3. The tutorial seems to be fro...

Diffuse Lighting - Surface scale

Hi! Another question about filters In some tutorials I found indicated for the filter "Diffuse Lighting" - parameter "Surface scale" values of 20 or 30. The related Inkscape was 0.48 Trying to reproduce the same on my 0.92 Inkscape, I found out that the max value that can be set ...

(solved) inner shadow in filters (version 0.92)

Hi!
It seems that Filters - Shadow and glowes - Inner Shodow has disappeared in version 0.92.
Is it in other place or renamed?

Thank you!

Re: bezier curves with ellipse shape - bug?

Yes, there are 2 options - drag a little bit the handles or increase the pattern width.
Sometimes it is working, sometimes not - because i alter my drawing. :)
At the end, at least I know I did not make a mistake :)
Thank you for your replies!

Re: bezier curves with ellipse shape - bug?

See the upper part. If you move the handle, in any direction, in one moment the curve is coming back to normal (not twisted anymore)

bezier curves with ellipse shape - bug?

Hi! After I update from 0.91 to 0.92, I found some sort of bug when drawing Bezier curves with ellipse shape. For certain angles, I obtain a strange intersection, like the curve is twisted, at one of the ends (see next drawing) wrong.png To correct this, I must move the handle, and that sometimes th...

Continuing to work I "discovered" some other things and I like to share them with you here. What I write here is a mixture of test results and tutorial hope people will not be mad on me... I know that this function / tool is still in develop phase. I am aware of that. So we don't know for ...

Re: Gradient Mesh Tool - first results after testing

New discoveries: because the function is still in developing, there is no DELETE mesh line/node or UNDO (Ctrl+Z often lead to close of the Inkscape, while in mesh gradient tool). This sometimes create desperation. :) Well, OK, I create (initially for myself, but at the end I decide to make it public...

Self tutorial Mesh Gradient

This is a tutorial that I made initially for myself, in order to not forgot what I discover in working with the Inkscape mesh gradient. The examples I present are probably not the best way of solving the tasks, but they are MY WAY of accomplishment. So if anyone can improve them with any advice, it ...

Re: Gradient Mesh Tool - first results after testing

Moini, thank you for the advice. Nevertheless, I previously found the email: inkscape-devel@lists.sourceforge.net and I sent them my comments. Only that I had to do it twice - first time my e-mail was rejected because I was included the link to this post, and it seem it is not allowed. Now I also su...

Re: Gradient Mesh Tool - first results after testing

Dear brynn I sent e-mail for developpers - thank you for the link! (yes, I know it is experimental, this is the reason it is hidden :) ) Dear Espermachine It is an amazing function! All I can say it require a lot of patience (and clicks! :) ) But, as you say - the results are stunning. In this momen...

Gradient Mesh Tool - first results after testing

Hi everybody! I test in the last week the hidden Gradient Mesh Tool. :D See first picture - the results are amazing, after only one week of using the tool. tya.jpg It is a great tool and I hope it will be included in the new version. For the moment, I have 1 recommandation and 2 "bug comm...

Re: Problems between Mac and Windows Inkscape

Yes, it is my fault! I will change the name of the topic - if I can. In fact, based on the comments I received, it was highlighted that it is a version issue, not an OS issue

Re: Problems between Mac and Windows Inkscape

Hi! Thank you for the detailed explanations - now it seems to be more clear. More, I look on my software and I find out that there ARE differences between the Inkscape versions. Even if I THOUGHT I have the latest versions, it was not the case - on mac and win 7 there was the 0.48 and on win 8 - the...

Re: Problems between Mac and Windows Inkscape

Thank you for the quick reply... Sorry, but I must confess that I did not understood. Or maybe I did no explain correct. So, I create a SVG file on Mac - roof and wall. If I open it on Mac, it looks correct. If I open it on Win 8 (SAME file), it look like parts are missing from her. More, if I open ...

Problems between versions 0.48 and 0.91 (not OSX-WIN)

I have installed inkscape last versions on macosx and win 8. I worked some simple drawings and there was no problem between the 2 operating systems, I could see and work on the same file from both of them. But when I made just a step further and I used some gradients-textures, the following appear (...
