It appears the author of that video is using GIMP, which is a raster editor. Inkscape's Calligraphy tool is very different from GIMP's. That's because Inkscape is a vector graphics editor. Help using Pencil type for the calligraphy pen.

I'm trying to do what this guy does by making the calligraphy tool act like the pencil tool. I can't figure out how to do it in Inkscape

[solved] How do I use the Pen tool without it giving me a headache?

Hi, I'm trying to draw bezier lines with a stoke more than 1 but every line a draw starts with no paint when I want it as flat colour. every time. every time I want it to be flat colour.
It also fades out weirdly.
