well, it's been about a month since I submitted the bug report at launchpad and there has been No action on it. Not even a 'it must be you' reply... Really annoying, seeing sk1 project looks almost as good and in some cases works better (it actually opens CorelDraw, dwg files)... Hmmm.... disappoint...

Inkscape re-associates it's self with mimetypes

Inkscape continues to re associate, for instance, *.pdf with inkscape. Firefox offers only inkscape as 'default' viewer for pdf, over and over. I repeatedly have to edit the 'mimeinfo.cache and defaults.list files in /usr/share/applications/ and have even copied them to ~/.local/share/applications/ ...

the Only app I've found that will open and with some reliability, edit .CDR files is sK1.
It's pretty basic and several years old, but it Works.
sK1, you are unable to 'edit' the toolbars (open, close, reposition them, but can't).
