Re: Bspline+Spirolive

Hi. Great work! How is the release numbering determined? My "newest" install - dev. build - is "r12322" Which build is this branch based on? RGDS Ragnar I am referring to Jabier's release version. For what I have seen, it brings that number and that number appears also when you ...

Re: Bspline+spirolive

Hi. I don't really understand. The Windows link in the first post (Header post?) in this thread links to another post in this thread. http://www.inkscapeforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=13496&start=50#p53402 Is this correct? RGDS Ragnar The working links are the ones shown in that post you li...

Re: Bspline+spirolive

... I`ve went through the thread and saw ~suv`s remarks, so I`m wondering if it`s still related to the cairo, or perhaps is something else? Mesh is a great tool and it would be great to have it available. *I`m on win7/x64 As far as I know, the issue is the one pointed out by ~suv, so I guess we'll ...

Re: Bspline+spirolive

Brainless - ah ok, so actually I did things correctly. I just went back into that folder and clicked on the Inkscape.exe and it worked, and the new button is there for the BSpiro etc! yay. way cool! I thought I was just adding the button to my already existing inkscape, so now I get it. I guess at ...

Re: Bspline+spirolive

Test Mesh in Windows XP, UI works but render transparent To be expected (Windows devlibs have cairo 1.11.2, which does not support rendering gradient meshes on canvas (this requires cairo 1.11.4 or later) - see links in my earlier comment). Thanks ~suv. Now I understand better what you meant for &q...

Re: Bspline+spirolive

I am really confused. I have tried right now from home and the link points to the correct file while when I have tried to download from the office I got an older version (that's why there wasn't the mesh gradient). The only difference is that in the office I have WinXP and here Win7. If someone has ...

Re: Bspline+spirolive

@brainless Maybe you have a devlibs updated, when start compiling in the early bspline, whith the problems with Druban? Before compiling, I'm always updating devlibs so the last version compiled have devlibs as they were on last Sunday. I added a PPA for debian/ubuntu. The package is inkscape-bs (r...

Re: Bspline+spirolive

Remark: I don't know why, but that version does not include the mesh gradient. Now I haven't under my hands my PC, but this evening I will check and maybe I will replave the file with the correct one. AFAIK the version of cairo included in the current devlibs for Windows is too old (to actually ena...

Re: Bspline+spirolive

I'm having troubles trying to install. Am following Brainless's instructions but can't figure it out. (I have Win 7 BTW), thought I extracted ok, used 7 zip to extract the files, but it put them all in the main Download folder, and some of the folders don't have any files in them, so it's not going...

Hi all.

After Jabier's new release of the BSpline tool, I am planning to compile it for Windows later this afternoon. So, it should become available within today.

Cheers

Re: Acad-plugin for Inkscape

Ok druban. I will try to go through. Just a question: could you tell me what do you mean with "Old"? Does it mean that Inkscape has another newer tool able to the same?

Edit: I have managed to compile a version with (i think) all of those LPes included. You can find it here

Re: Acad-plugin for Inkscape

Hi Brainless, I can point you to the page with the last development version (r11789) that Uwe Scholer compiled containing these experimental LPEs for Windows. You can try out the draft version of these path effects but do note that some of them don't work at all and will immediately crash your Inks...

I have investigated all the possible sources of info and I also noticed that on Launchpad there is a blueprint on the topic marked as essential and on...

Re: B-Spline + SpiroLive Branch

Hi druban. Very beautiful that blue screen. I like it very much :-) That issue I also had when I tried to open Inkscape from the console. It is what I mentioned in my post when I declared that there are errors in installing some fonts. At the very beginning I thought to fonts related to Adobe Master...

Re: B-Spline + SpiroLive Branch

No, they are not connected to BSplines. They are a little off topic. 1. Trim: yes, but addng manually is very often not so accurate. Consider that sometimes I have to care of a precision of less than half a mm due to scale factors. 2. It's true, but double clicking add a node only to one of the path...
