Reversing background and text color

Working on this poetry adaptation....how can I reverse the background to black and text to white to be the stars of the image? (want to keep moon white and "moon" text to be black) Saved in layers and tried: extensions--color negative but could not make it work. Again, thanks in advance fr...

Re: ungrouping imported pdf

Ok that is amazing. I can work with that! Thank you so much. I am learning how to get my art and more complicated drawings into Inkscape format so I can add text and create effects, etc. I am learning slowly but surely. Really appreciate it!

Re: svg to pdf

Thanks, I did some very basic colored filled boxes blurred across the page for a color fade effect and it converts back into boxes in pdf.Text and images of the poem do fine. It is the blur and color issues that don't translate. I'll have to see if the editor will accept anything other than pdf form...

svg to pdf

I've read all of the previous posts I can find regarding this and downloaded scribus, etc. Still confused. Still not working. What is the latest thoughts on how to accomplish this and not lose color fading and blurring, etc.?

need idea for circling words on a word search image

Any ideas how to draw the "circle" around the words from the word list onto the word search puzzle. This is a RLS rhyme that I am making into a visual poem.
Thanks!!

Re: printed version of drawing different from computer versi

I can't thank you enough! It works great and I deleted some of the ivy and it is perfect. The layers worked great and also trimming down the sunbeams. Honestly, I don't know how to do everything that you did to fix it. I am learning more everyday though and really appreciate this forum. I have sever...

Re: printed version of drawing different from computer versi

Thanks again for even taking an interest in this and looking at it. Yes, it is just the page area that is part of the concrete poem adaptation.I need to delete the rest which is just experimental scribbling made in process. I am taking RLS poems and making them visual for kids. I opened the file you...

Re: printed version of drawing different from computer versi

Thanks for the suggestions. The printer is ok—checked that out. The outline view did not show the line either. There is one straight line and a pencil squiggle that print but that I can't find on the screen. I appreciate any help. File size too big so I compressed it into zip file.

printed version of drawing different from computer version

When I print my single layer drawing there is a pencil line that I thought I had deleted that prints out on the page. It is invisible on screed so I can't edit it out but it is on the printed version every time. Suggestions on how to "find" it on screen to edit out? Very new (obviously) to...
