Re: What's wrong with this DXF conversion?
I'm using inkscape 48.3.1 and I'm still having problems with saving to the DXF format. I've used a number of different dxf converters (Better DXF Output is one of them). Is there a work around for this problem. Does it continue to be a known problem? Thanks Selection_356.png Selection_355.png

Re: implementing Rich Black
Okay... I'm pretty clear on what rich black is... a combination of colors that acheive a darker black. The big question is what does Inkscape not allow me to have a combination of colors like
C 50%
M 40%
Y 40%
K 100%
The program will now allow me to make such a combination.
Thanks,
Wayne

Re: implementing Rich Black
Thanks for the note Brynn, I've had this problem before in Scribus and was able to set my colors to attain this "rich black"... I found this in wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rich_black, where it states A typical rich black mixture might be 100% black, 50% of each of the other thre...

implementing Rich Black
Hi,
I recently created a business card that had a black background. I created a PDF and sent it to the printer. Upon receiving it I found that the background was not "jet black" but some lesser black. Can someone tell me how I implement Rich Black in inkscape?
Thanks,
Wayne

Re: Intersecting objects change colors at intesection
Thanks Brynn... as soon as I read "tranparent" it was transparently clear to me... it as a transparency issue.
Thank you for taking the time to write... I love Inkscape because it's great software but the people are endearing to me as well

Intersecting objects change colors at intesection
Help with a little problem...
I have two characters (letters) on the screen and when I position one over the other the color of the top character changes where it intersects with the lower character... this is not the desired affect... How can I stop it.
thanks,
Wayne

Line Drawing and Calligraphy tool problems...
I can't seem to draw a simple line that has the same line thickness from the beginning to the end. Nor can I use the calligraphy pen without the end of the line terminating correctly. I've hunted for controls to help me fix this without success. perhaps I'm seeing some sort of bug. The image below d...

Re: Fill not opaque in text characters
Yes... both the A value and the opaque slider are at maximum for both characters... but the more recent "test" character is completely opaque while the character that is part of my logo remains faintly transparent... weird
Thanks
