Good idea ! In gimp there will not be any nodes thus almost no lag. However i see 1 problem using gimp... Just try interpolating a text 50x to get the lag i have.

I did a text effect with 50x interpolate and afterwards it became laggy. Anyway from what i read, it is because of the number of nodes which makes it laggy and is there anyway to work around it?
