We might need some more info. Are you exporting to a particular format? Or using a specific Inkscape extension? It could be because the paths aren't connected? Inkscape has a Calligraphy tool. It doesn't work exactly how you describe. Unless you use a graphics pen and tablet, you have to use the mouse to draw the letters/characters with. If you want to keep your older version, you could get the 7Z package of the current version, and not have to uninstall the old version. However, if you want to get the EXE or MSI package you must uninstall the old version first.

Yeah, I first looked up "momo" (when this was first posted) and found some not nice things about it. I kind of question using that term for this effect.
