I have been using Inkscape for a couple of years - no real problems until today when I opened a blank page and the first thing I drew (be it a line, rectangle, whatever) is light blue instead of black. Unwanted "snapping"
I have been using Inkscape for many months. One common activity is to extend straight lines or the shapes of polygons by dragging a node (diamond). For some reason, I guess I accidentally hit the wrong key sequence, the program is not behaving. When I drag a node it will not stay where I want it to ...

Re: How do I open/save this filetype?
Hi, I've read all this but the answer to a really basic matter seems to be missing. Open InkScape from the desktop icon. Create a new drawing , make units mm, select A4, draw a simple rectangle and press "save" - nothing happens, press "save as" - nothing happens, press "Clo...
