Black and white with out baint bucket

hello
I'm new to the forum have a question on the use of Inkscape. I have drawn a rosette. It's easy. Now I want to alternately black and white to color in the individual fields. Not possible with the paint bucket. How can I make it? How can I split each field into objects?
