Re: Anti-bot Inkscape question
It is in the admin control panel -- it's difficult to find stuff in there. I can change it or remove it -- I did not realise the tools had changed positions. Removing it may increase work for the moderators.

Re: forum moderating
Technically speaking once the "ban hammer" option is confirmed it redirects to the user's profile with the option of banning it again. I will take note the next time I ban someone, but I looked at the profile for a user you banned the the "Ban hammer this user" link is replaced ...

Re: forum moderating
First post approval and more advanced banning options are up.
No worries. Note the "Ban Hammer this user" link when you view a users profile. With this you can ban the user and delete all their posts in one step.

Re: can't register? or can't log in?
Apologies for my laxness with resolving this issues. My hosting had upgraded PHP and the version of phpBB I we were running was not compatible. phpBB has been upgraded which should fix all the issues. Although you will note that things look a little different now. This is how it will look until I ca...

I apologise for my lack of effort in handling and preventing spam.
I was mistaken that reported posts would be hidden--I mis-understood the setting. It would be a useful setting to have.
I have made some tweaks, so hopefully you will see less.

Re: Trialling no moderation of posts for new users
Why not but then you should grant moderation rights to more users IMHO. Too much spam for kitchen announcements for me. In a way, everyone is a moderator. If you are seeing spam, it's either because you are the first of 2 people to see it, or nobody before you bothered to report it. I didn't think ...

Trialling no moderation of posts for new users
I'm trialling not moderating posts from new users. This has been a measure to reduce the spam regular users are exposed to, but it's a significant inconvenience to new users looking for hasty answers. Expect to see spam, but when you do you can report it. You should see a set of icons at the top rig...

Re: Approval Process For New Users
But your approval time is "why to slow"....Sorrry, I need help now. My apologies, but the forum software has lame spam protection. From what I've seen, all the free one seem to handle it unintelligently. Sifting the through the new posts It's a tedious process. Nobody like doing it, so I ...

Hey Jonnycakes, you'll be pleased to know there is a simple way to do this. ⋅ Select all your paths then from the `Path` menu choose `Stroke to path` ( Ctrl + Alt + C ). ⋅ Ensure all your elements are still selected, then from the `Path` menu choose `Union` ( Ctrl + + ) You shoul...

Re: Tag: Solved and Workaround provided
I don't see where you can tag a thread as solved ? Not on this forum, but many other forums have. Here is an example . It is a neat feature, but Ubuntu uses vBulletin for their forum which is a commercial product. I'm sure their are plugins for phpBB to do something similiar, but plugins are a PITA...

Re: SVG files on forum.
They are back. SVG uploads haven't been allowed in all forum categories, and I'm a little surprised that had been allowed at some point for the 'Off topic' forum. It would be nice to allow unlimited image attachments everywhere, but I can't offer a lot of storage. There is an allocated amount of spa...

Re: Help Cant get inkescape files to signcut pro
waste of time puting a post up on here 1. You posted in the wrong forum category to attract the attention of people who use cutters. I've moved your topic. 2. Only a minority of Inkscape users use cutters, and I suspect only a subset of those use it with the specific one you've referred to. So your...

Re: announcing a new Inkscape website!
Congratulations, Brynn, on the release of Inkscape Community. I'm sure it will be very popular :) In regards to debates about "competitiveness and "splitting the community", I don't agree. Choice is good. More forums and sites can only serve to make Inkscape more accessible and more p...
