Generic water drop
I've built a generic water drop playing with Alpha transparency. The drop can be cloned and put on any kind of background.
I intend to post a tutorial some time.

properly setting contour for scalable artwork
If you have to release some artwork in a vectorial format (SVG, EPS, AI or PDF) and want to set it so that it can easily being scaled, make sure you have all the contours stoke converted to shapes. I know it will take more time, but you'll gain quality in the long run. Let's say your contours stoke ...

I know it will take more time, but you'll gain quality in the long run. Let's say your contour is 2pt. thick. When importing and scaling your...

Bezier curves
If all of your objects are vectorial (defined by Bezier curves), the DPI are irrelevant: the curves are mathematically defined, so you can print it on a postal stamp or an airplane, it will be flawless. Otherwise, if you happen to have imported raster images (composed of pixels), you should go to Fi...

Re: passing SVG between Illustrator CS3 and Inkscape
Thanks for the DPI explanation. It does make sense indeed. Yes, Illustrator does apply gradients independently of each other. I'm not familiar with pre-defined gradient: I usually end up pulling my hair out when trying to edit gradients in Illustrator. :lol: Even though Inkscape treats gradients as ...

public domain T-shirt template
Having failed to find any existing T-shirt template, I quickly made one based on a manufacturer specifications sheet. I released it in the Public Domain on February 19th, 2007.

passing SVG between Illustrator CS3 and Inkscape
I've noticed a couple of things when passing SVG's between Illustrator CS3 and Inkscape on my Windows XP: ⋅ An SVG created in Illustrator will not scale properly when opened in Inkscape. It will actually open at 80% of its real size, so you might want to resize it by 125% to correct that. ...
