During editing I need often to move object (or group of objects) from the current layer to another layer. The only way I know is to do Ctrl-C (copy) Ctrl-X (delete) and Ctrl-V (paste) in a new layer. Unfortunately this is not the best way how to do it becuse you lose the placing of the object/object...
