I noticed that I get no feedback when evoking inkscape from the command line. I came across this when trying to convert sk files to svg. The wiki says it's supported, but I can't open. I was afraid it was on my side, so i created two files to check
inkscape --export-pdf=c:\test.pdf c:\test.svg
inkscape --export-png=c:\test.png c:\test.svg
http://allofunix.homeunix.com:8080/test.png
http://allofunix.homeunix.com:8080/test.pdf
inkscape --export-pdf=c:\test.pdf c:\test.svg

It's an old post and you probably moved on, but there is a way to preserve your text; export your svg to eps and than import into scribus. You still need to scale, but your elements are there.

Could it be I don't have the right file? the default.svg i mentioned was in inkscape/share/templates!
But like i said it doesn't happen when making pdf's and that why i use inkscape.

Still no luck, I changed colors but states reverts back when opening inkscape. Ok, never mind it doesn't happen when producing pdf files and that's good enugh for me at the moment.

Thanks for the response. Yes I tried that earlier, but the settings aren't saved. There is no confirmation option and opacity indication keeps returning.

will inkscape alter javascript?
I have a simple svg file that can be converted to a pdf file (--export-pdf etc..). I would like to know if inkscape will alter or even complete ignore javascript when a svg is exported to a pdf file?
