Is there a way to delete multiple guidelines?
As I work, sometimes I have a lot of extra guidelines that I'd like to clear. Does anyone know if there is a way to get rid of all of them at one time, instead of highlighting each one individually?

Re: How do you join an end node to the midpoint of another l
I attached the flower I'm working on. I used circle and cone to try for a simple explanation, but this is the actual project.
You can see how it won't fill properly.

Re: How do you join an end node to the midpoint of another l
I can't fill color properly the way it is - eg - make a circle and a v (2 connected lines). Put them together. Combine. Color doesn't fill properly. Is there any way to make this work? I can create separate, complete shapes and set them next to each other to get the fill. Is this the best that can b...

How do you join an end node to the midpoint of another line?
I have an image made up of several lines that need to be joined together.
I tried putting an end node on a midpoint of the line and doing ctrl+k, but this isn't working.
When I tried Union - ctrl + +, extra lines formed.
How is this done?

Re: can't save to eps
thanks for your reply. I just heard from someone on another forum who helped. Some of the images weren't at 100% opacity and this prevented the file from being saved as eps. It also prevented those items from printing directly inside inkscape, when I just want a quick printout. I thought all was 100...

can't save to eps
I have a file comprised of a lot of images that are simple outlines. I've saved svg to eps in the past without any problems, but now I keep getting a msg saying it could not be saved. Any ideas about what's happening and how to save the file? A file name is created, but it has no content (size is 0 ...

This stopped happening with the file after making further revisions. Maybe this is a bug?

Re: seeking vector french curves for inkscape
Thank you very much! I'm an artist using inkscape to create outlines of shapes to have masks cut from vinyl for sandblasting. I am not familiar with gimp, or the other features you mentioned, such as rgb. I really appreciate you taking the time to do this for me. I have been spending days working on...

Re: seeking vector french curves for inkscape
I just tried to do this myself. I found an image from a search and saved it as gif. I can trace paths. Using gif, it needs a lot of work. Can you tell me how to convert it to png, and would it be more clear? The edges of the image aren't sharp which doesn't help, but it is one that would be especial...

Re: seeking vector french curves for inkscape
Thanks for the suggestion for openclipart.com. Unfortunately, no french curves. I'm trying to do curves more complex than for geometric shapes. I used the spiral as a fr curve for some of it, but am hoping to find more variations. I found someone offering vector french curves, but it was an unknown ...

Re: seeking vector french curves for inkscape
I want to use the curves as a guide to create regular and smooth curves. I can't do it by hand or with any of the probably basic functions I know in inkscape. I saw somewhere about using the bevier tool for this, but it leaves a trail of nodes which makes it difficult to modify the shapes. Also, I d...

Re: some images not printing
Ok - here's more explanation of what's going on. This happened w/ 2 files (docs?). They are pics made up of basic, irregular shapes, nothing overlapping. They area single layer with a single stroke outlining the color fill. Nothing masked, clipped, faded or anything else more involved. I drew the sh...

some images not printing
A page used to print just fine. Now, some of the shapes print, others do not. They all look the same on the screen. Any suggestions about what's going on and how to fix this?
